The APG Series 4000 cash drawer is one of the toughest on the
market, utilizing industrial Tester has Indicator has light to
test that the drawer kick out port on the printer is working and
being fired. LED lights every time the drawer normally is opened.

Requirements

Test Procedure
Drawer Port Test
- Plug tester into drawer kick port
- Print and open drawer
- Light should briefly light
Cable Test

- Plug tester into drawer end of cable using the union
provided
- Print and open drawer
- Light should briefly light
Troubleshooting
If light fails to light
- signal has not been sent to port. Cash drawer should
be enabled. Confirm application settings.
- drawer kick port defective. Test with a different
printer, if available.
If light lights but drawer does not open
- Bad cable (try running cable test, above)
- Defective drawer. Test with different drawer, if
available.
- Incompatible drawer, must be 24v.
