How do I install an Epson POS printer?

Is the printer a first time installation or is it a replacement?

Replacement - Installing printer in place of an old one with the same model and interface is easy.

  • unpack the replacement printer. Install the ribbon and paper, if needed.

  • match the printer settings from old to new

  • plug to the power supply cable and the computer/data cable.

  • reboot the computer.

First Time - Installing a printer for the first time or upgrading an existing printer takes a few more steps.

  • determine the interface that you have and attach the data cable between the printer and the computer.

  • unpack the printer. Install the ribbon and paper, if needed.

  • plug in the power supply.

  • install the proper drivers on the computer for the printer model and interface you are installing

  • set the POS system for the model printer in use.
