How do I install an Epson POS printer?

Is the printer a first time installation or is it a replacement?

Replacement - Installing printer in place of an old one with the same model and interface is easy.

unpack the replacement printer. Install the ribbon and paper, if needed.
match the printer settings from old to new
plug to the power supply cable and the computer/data cable.
reboot the computer.

First Time - Installing a printer for the first time or upgrading an existing printer takes a few more steps.

determine the interface that you have and attach the data cable between the printer and the computer.
unpack the printer. Install the ribbon and paper, if needed.
plug in the power supply.
install the proper drivers on the computer for the printer model and interface you are installing
set the POS system for the model printer in use.
